CREATION PROCESS

We bring only the best to the process in order to create something that will be cherished forever as your personal Heart in Diamond. Here are the steps we take to create your personal gem.

HAIR WEIGHTING

Equipment High accuracy scales: accurate up to 4 decimal places.In case hair is used to create Heart in Diamond we analyse and process them. At first, an empty container is weighed. Then the individual Customer’s hair is extracted from a zip-locked, numbered plastic container and added to a glass container to be weighed.

HAIR TREATMENT

The Hair is then placed in the glass container and introduced into the furnace for heat treatment.
The appropriate temperature/conditions are set to receive graphite content after heat treatment.

ANALYSIS OF HAIR

The purpose of this stage is to obtain a unique “fingerprint” of our Customer’s hair. This report is provided to the Customer as an additional security. It allows you to be absolutely certain that we work with the correct hair only.On the picture you can see the equipment we use to analyse our Customer’s hair.The Analytical Data we obtain is then carefully recorded. This data confirms the identity of each hair sample. Unfortunately we cannot conduct a similar analysis for cremated remains.

  FORMATION OF DIAMOND GROWING FOUNDATION

At this stage hair ashes or cremated remains allocated for the diamond growing foundation are then mixed with spectrally clean graphite. The prepared mixture is then compressed. Nickel, iron, cobalt and other catalysts that will contribute to the creation of colour in the diamond are then added in order to form the diamond growing foundation.

DIAMOND GROWING PROCESS

The mixture is then placed in a cell and safely secured in the (HPHT) machine.
HPHT method recreates the actual geological conditions that occur 150 km deep in the Earth’s mantle. The conditions are a unique and powerful combination of extreme pressure (up to 60,000 atmospheres) and very high temperature (up to 2,500°C). These replicate the natural conditions for diamond formation deep below the surface of the Earth. During this stage the given carbon mixture will be transformed and grown into a real diamond of a required size.

CUTTING AND POLISHING

After the growth phase is complete, our specialists will polish and cut your Heart in Diamond in accordance with industry standards to accommodate your request.
