A closer look at the creation stages
1. Material inspection
The received ashes or hair are inspected and registered against the order before laboratory preparation begins.
2. Diamond core assembly
Prepared carbon is combined with the diamond-growing foundation to create the core from which the crystal can develop.
3. Loading the growth cell
The assembled core is placed into the growth cell, ready for the controlled high-pressure, high-temperature growth stage.
4. Rough diamond received
After growth, the rough personal diamond is removed from the cell and inspected before cutting begins.
5. Planning the cut
A specialist studies the rough crystal and starts shaping it to make the best use of the diamond produced.
6. Precision cutting
The facets are carefully refined to achieve the selected cut, proportions and finish.
7. Cut and polished diamond
The finished personal diamond is polished and checked before certification and, if selected, setting into jewellery.
